The chair is sprung and remains firm, the cushion has what feels like a heavy down filling, not foam. Studded detailing throughout, all of which remains intact. An attractive, weighty and extremely comfortable example with heavily distressed areas, mostly to armrests as pictured. Please expect lots of age related wear to the rest of the chair
